Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about Pharma Shelf for pharmacy owners and managers in Ethiopia.

What is Pharma Shelf?

Pharma Shelf is pharmacy management software for Ethiopia. It combines mobile POS (cash and mobile money), stock and batch/expiry tracking, staff roles, AI invoice stock-in, and web analytics in one system.

Who is Pharma Shelf for?

Independent retail pharmacies and multi-branch pharmacy groups that need reliable counter sales, inventory control, and shared reporting — especially teams moving off paper or spreadsheets.

Does it support mobile money and ETB?

Yes. Sales can be completed with cash or mobile money, with pricing and discounts in Ethiopian Birr (ETB). The product is built around day-to-day Ethiopian pharmacy workflows.

Is there a web dashboard as well as a mobile app?

Yes. Staff can sell and manage stock on Android at the counter, while owners and managers use the web dashboard for wider reports, team controls, and AI invoice stocking. Data syncs in the cloud.

How does AI invoice stock-in work?

Upload a wholesaler invoice from the web app. AI extracts line items and proposes stock entries. You review quantities, costs, and batches before confirming — nothing posts without your approval.

Can I run multiple branches?

Yes. Switch branches from the app header, assign owner/manager/cashier roles, and roll up sales and stock visibility across the organization.

How do I get started?

Download Pharma Shelf on Google Play (free to try), or open the web app at app.pharma-shelf.com. For onboarding help, contact support by phone, WhatsApp, or Telegram.

Is Pharma Shelf a substitute for pharmacy licensing?

No. Licensing, pharmacist-in-charge rules, and premises approvals are regulated. Always follow Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA) and local requirements. Pharma Shelf helps you run operations after you are legally set up.
